I don't think it's so much misogyny.  It's that, in the US legal system, it's the guy that gets raped in the courtroom.

I think it is more the fact that, in the US legal system, a male is all but helpless to defend himself against a female accusing him of rape (or any other sex crime).  Her word alone is enough to get him fired from his job, publicly condemned in the news (papers and TV), and put in jail to await trial. [Seen it happen to someone I know].

So, in the above sense, the US legal system turns the roles around.  In the US courts, the men are the ones that are the weaker sex, subject to ruination & violation by psychotics of the other sex.  Ask any guy that's been divorced, been through a child custody case, or accused of any sort of sex-related crime.

She just destroyed four people's lives, essentially, with little more than a cheap lie.

I think there should be some recrimination... making a false statement (perjury?), at the least.

Well maybe in your neck of the woods it works like that and we are talking about US law so i give you that.

And yes i would hire someone who was wrongly accused unless i felt uneasy about his innocence.

I'd hire him if he was not indicted. AKA found not guilty. A quick google search of these men's names would probably bring up one of many news stories about how the woman lied.
