First off i would like to say it`s funny to see how stupid faces people make while they play. Secondly i must say you swear quite a lot Oisín<3
As for German players and servers, let me try to explain a couple of things.
In many of the European countries there has simply not been a tradition for teaching English as a second or third language at school.
But most importantly in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and probably quite a few other European countries they dub all movies, news, series etc.
What that means is that if a German watches a film like Rambo he wan`t hear the sweet voice of Sly, but a dude speaking German.
That`s the reason why their English suck, they are simply not exposed to the language. As for the weird rules i really can`t give a proper answer...

English is the favorite subject at our school. We had to open 3 new English classes due to the massive amount of newcomers.

But I'm not German haha ^^

The generation growing up today learns English at school, but your father and grandfather probably did not have English tuition.
That being said, it`s still the issue of dubbing rather than subtitles like we use in Scandinavia.

just a guess. bet i am right though. see, we play different. i will sit at one base all game and defend it. you have to hop around and get as many points as possible so you can feel good about yourself. the second you leave the captured base it gets re-captured.
