There was some serious speed from all the Mercedes engine cars, but I think this race might make things a whole lot more comfortable for Button. Are the weights released yet? Surely Hamilton/Sutil are running much lighter than Button. This race should be good though, I love this track, so fast and it really pushes the engines to their mechanical limits

Oh yeah and you gotta give special mention to Luizzi, the guy has barely driven anything for ages and he gets P7 first time. Quality driving.

Got the weights here:

01 McLaren Mercedes Lewis Hamilton 653.5
02 McLaren Mercedes Heikki Kovalainen 683.0
03 Ferrari Giancarlo Fisichella 690.0*
04 Ferrari Kimi Räikkönen 662.0
05 BMW Sauber Robert Kubica 697.5*
06 BMW Sauber Nick Heidfeld 697.5*
07 Renault Fernando Alonso 677.5
08 Renault Romain Grosjean 699.8*
09 Toyota Jarno Trulli 703.0*
10 Toyota Timo Glock 709.8*
11 STR Ferrari Jaime Alguersuari 706.0*
12 STR Ferrari Sébastien Buemi 706.0*
14 RBR Renault Mark Webber 683.0
15 RBR Renault Sebastian Vettel 682.0
16 Williams Toyota Nico Rosberg 708.6*
17 Williams Toyota Kazuki Nakajima 706.2*
20 Force India Mercedes Adrian Sutil 655.0
21 Force India Mercedes Vitantonio Liuzzi 679.5
22 Brawn Mercedes Jenson Button 687.0
23 Brawn Mercedes Rubens Barrichello 688.5

Heikki looking good but I don't think he has the bottle to won the race, Hamilton and Sutil need luck with their strategy, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Brawn or maybe Kimi snatch a win .

Not entirely sure why Hamilton was pushing that hard at the end, it ended up costing him dearly.  It means Kimi was on the podium though so I'm happy about it

Haha, it's cos Hamilton is a pure racing driver. If you're going to crash, you do it spectacularly like that on the last lap pushing for everything. That was a big thump, lol - It's not like he's racing for anything this season anyway

Kimi and Sutil both had messed up pitstops, Kimi is lucky that Sutil slammed into his pit crew otherwise he'd have probably taken third place. Good race though, Brawn strat pulled off to perfection, and once again Kov somehow messes everything up from a good position

I feel sorry for Luizzi though, he would've bagged some good points here today at his home GP and it would've been interesting seeing how his one stop strategy played out with the Brawn cars as he was in that sort of similar pace. His gearbox/driveshaft just collapsed though, unlucky, but for a first race that's some impressive shit.

Yeah it was a shame we couldn't see Luizzi really push it all the way to the end, would have been good to watch but oh well.  I'm most pissed about Webber though, getting pushed off by Kubica so early and in such an important race points wise.

He had an opportunity, he was pushing for the entire race to make the strategy work and he was the only two-stopper who was giving it his all to compete, Lewis wouldn't have done it if he hadn't sensed an opportunity. I do love how the people who dislike him pile on the abuse, he's been through much worse, he'll be back at Singapore much stronger, no doubt about it.

Toyota were just legendary
