Jesus so if the only way your able to tell is by one being brighter that the other....um what happens if you get power failure in the plane and the yellow dims to almost the same color as green. Your gonna be left with a problem there man.
i love math, o god another year of nerdy torture
You have to have 20:20 vision and noglasses, laser treatment etc. Also, no hayfeaver or ashmer or conditions. You need to be pretty small in height, fit and can never have broken a bone in your life due to when fkying in high altitude air particles can get trapped inside and ripe your bone apart. I want to be a Helicopter pilot myself, i pass all the tests.
Although, things like heigh and bonebreaking i don't think counts with Helicopters hopefully. lol
I wanna be a pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force when i leave school in 2 years.
The requirements are:
- A or B in Senior Physics
- A or B in Maths B and/or C
- Australian citizenship or eligibility for citizenship aged between 17 and 50 years
- willing to accept responsibility
- aptitude for leading and motivating others
- meet aptitude and medical requirements
- willing to serve anywhere in Australia or overseas.
So far, i meet all those requirements except the school ones, cuz i havent finished school yet, and the age (2 more years) i cant wait.
You also get over $1000 a week, just to do what i love.

you need to do maths B and get a A or B in your mark.
if you also do maths C then that makes it a whole lot easier, but you have to do maths B aswell.
But 4 years of hard work in high school isnt much for a lifetime of fun and fitness, eh?

maths B is algebra ect. maths C is graphs ect. and you need high marks.
geometry is in the easy maths.

Eh you don't really have to be small. Best heights is 6' 0". This way your tall enought to clearly see through the HUD and able to get views behind you if needed. But your not completely correct on the broken bones. It depends what kind of fracture it is. You can get laser treatment now but they do prefer natural. Maximum height for a fighter pilot is 6'3" i believe. Any taller and your cutting it close with nailing you head.raz wrote:

cyborg_ninga ive been in the AF for over 2 years now. I'm almost and E-5 too. I know as much as i do about the F-16 and fighter reqs mostly because its been my dream since i was 10. Also being in a fighter sqaudron working on the planes is fun. I get to play around with the weapons system inside the aircraft. I know how to bring up the weapons systems, what stations they are one, cycle through weapons, use the targeting pod, switch between air to air and air to ground mode, deploy chaff flair, guide a laser bomb in on target, zoom in and out using targeting pod, use the tv on the AMG mavericks, and yeah i love the weapons system. Radar is a little tricky to but im learning on that. I get on the simulator at our base quite often and the pilots like me there. They know who I am and what I do. Hell when our Major General knows who I am then as long as i make the pilot reqs i should be able to be one myself. I love that plane.
Fighter pilots better not be too tall shorter people can handle a greater number of G-forces
At Air Force Cadets (Australian) we were told even having your PPL is too much. 10 hours tops.2ndLt.Tucker wrote:
Another biggie is to already have your private pilots liscence....you want just enough hours to keep liscenced but not many more. Civilians develop habits that the military doesnt like and don't want to train against these. After all this you then need to be prepared for Officer Training School followed by 6 months flying a Trainer Jet. At this point if your still qualified to fly fighters they will send your to another 6 months flying the T-38 followed by another year learning whatever Jet your going to fly. If you aren't cut out for fighters you will be sent to flying heavies if you wish. Those being C-130's, C-5's, etc.
I'll probably go for my PPL in the next 2-3 years. I don't want to be a RAAF pilot, but a commercial pilot. Fly for Qantas or something...
To supa_fly and cyborg:
Im not sure what you are talking about when you say maths A, B, and C. Down here in NSW, we have 2 unit, Extension 1 and 2 maths (for HSC). Im doing Ext 1 now (in year 11).
Another very important subject is physics. That should help you, though don't hold me to that word.
The following has all the information on RAAF pilots http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/careers_e … AF248.htmlwww.defencejobs.gov.au wrote:

2ndLt.Tucker - best of luck to ya man. just a little piece of advice from a guy who knows... go the rotc route. use the erp and go through rotc, your chances are much better than being picked up for ots. much easier to get a pilot slot that way too. again, good luck.
Actually it depends. The problem with Rotc is that maybe 1-2 graduates from each unite are eligible for a pilot slot. Even then you are not guarenteed to be a fighter pilot. On top of that you then have a mandatory six years service. The route i chose to go was enlisted for a reason. I am in a national guard unit and we like to keep our unit as close as possible. We like to promote from within and about 50% of the pilots at my base were at one time enlisted doing a job similar to mine. Atleast this way by the time i get my degree and am eligable for a pilot slot i only have 2 years enlisted left. Then if i dont get my slot i can take my degree and go elsewhere with it. I am either getting a pilot slot and staying for my career or I am getting out. I planned this very carefully the whole time.shaggyp wrote:

McMinty-your right on having a PPL with alot of hours is a bad thing. I was told by all the pilots at my base to earn it and just fly enough to keep me legally registered with the PPL. They say that too many hours develops bad habits but they like seeing you have it and have some skill in making flight plans and how to generally fly and aircraft. Thats the one thing that i need to start working on. I am getting all of this info from pilots who are actually on the board so i have a little inside help. Who would have thought, politics to get a pilot slot.
Shaggyp- One more thing to add to Rotc. While it looks good and all its a proven fact that an EO is much better than an O as far as ranking goes. The reason is because the EO has the experience from having been enlisted and so can comprehend what enlisted soldiers are saying where as sometimes a Rotc O does not. EO are also alot easier to get along with compared to the Rotc O. I have ran into one officer from the Air Force Academy before and every enlisted man there wanted to kill him including our Supervisors. While we may be enlisted we can get even with officers and its our joy sometimes to do that do dickheads. Needless to say our LtCol. put that fucking butter bar up his ass when he found out. OH THE SMILE ON ALL OUR FACES.

2ndLt.Tucker - ah, you hadn't mentioned you're guard. in that case, you are exactly right. things work a lot different for guard than for regular. when i mentioned rotc, i said to use erp (early release program). i totally agree about prior enlisted being better officers. it's always been that way but a lot of the air force brass doesn't seem to get that. probably just part of that ring-knocker mafia.
like i said before though, good luck to ya, i hope everything works out for you.

Well, the academic sides are different for different countries. Here in the UK, you have to pass 5+ gcses A-C grade including physics and maths and have 2 A-levels and must be aged between 17-26 it is i think.
Only 2% that apply get in to the RAF!

To be an Airforce pilot in the U.S you need to donate alot of mcdonald meals.
LOL oh yeah forgot about those McDonald meals. Man remind me to get those before i go before the board. Not, almost all air force pilots are either built and have a "do not fuck with" sign on there back or are older and skinny but still in great shape. I have yet to see a fat pilot simply because you have to be en excellent shape to be able to handle 9g's. Fat bastard would die of a heart attack because he would not be able to handle that. So on that note whats your beef with McDonald's anyway? Did they buy out your business or something?
The Requirements for the airforce are to get good marks in physics, senior advanded maths, and be fit.
Requirements for the army is to do 10 push ups, lol seriously

i wanna drive a cobra, broke my leg so im out, guess i could go air force, physics 93% average - Check
senior maths blah blah 97% - Check (note sarcasm throuought post(not about the test results though))
