an enduring shining gem from the brief and exciting period of post-rock explosion:

a few years down the line, now the flood-waters have receded and we're given time to actually listen and contemplate the hundreds of bands/albums... this release comes across as an exceptionally mature, refined collection of songs. brilliant at creating moods, subtle and full of pretty dazzling little intricacies... it is rare to find a post-rock album from the 2000's that has any serious longplay longevity. this is one of them. give it a listen - it'll caress your ears.

Listening to the sounds in great detail: I'm not even sure it's been mastered professionally. My care = not. I love this track. It's just ... captivating. YES

I have no idea. I'm sure there's loads of producers that people consider "better" than Scuba, and I'm sure there's plenty of tracks that are considered better than this ... but: I can't stop liking it.

absolutely love this guy's oeuvre... astonishingly atmospheric music. been listening to him for a few years and this latest record really is a high-point. song-writing and lyricism is astounding- very poetic and lots at work, here.
