I need to convert a .vob file into a .mpg/.flv/.avi/any other common movie format. Does anyone know/have the tools to do it? If so, would you consider helping me out? I would really appreciate it.

Are you looking for a crappy, one click rip or a proper, high quality rip that would require you to put a bit of effort into it?
Since you said you needed to convert a (singular) .vob file into a .mpg, I'm going to throw this out there... you can simply change the extension from .vob to .mpg and it will work perfectly.
If you have more than one .vob (like a full movie rip) and you want to end up with a single file (.mpg/.avi) then you can find solutions as already suggested.

I think VirtualDub can do that. Its free, you should try it out.

Does Dvd Santa do it? That used to be ok didnt it?
I use this one. Can convert vob files into a huge range of types and quality is pretty good. It also makes transferring files between my PC and the Mac a breeze.
