I was at my parent's today and my mom said she was going to start buying Christmas presents . She will buy one present a week until christams ... anyways I said to her well, I know what you can get me and she busted out with a Zune Hd I know .. my jaw, it dropped. I was going to say something small for the kitchen. Leik <$30. This doesn't mean she is going to get it.. in fact she probably wont. So far, it seems really nice. The OLED is nice and bright, an equalizer is finally (finally! ) included, and videos look incredibly sexy. Still haven't watched a full-length movie yet (Full Metal Jacket or Hot Fuzz?), but the battery has lasted still near full even through about an hour of use. The only problem is the lack of an actual instruction manual teaching you how to navigate the menus, but once you figure out how to go to the previous menu, it's simple enough. Internets are a wee bit slow, but that's expected with this running off our wireless network and not off a network like the iPhone.

I dunno, it just seems to be too bulky for something to carry around just for media. I'm a type of guy who likes to consolidate all my gadgetry into one single thing. That's why I use my phone as a phone, camera, mp3/media player and all the other shit you get with modern phones. No point buying something like an iPod/touch or even Zune HD these days IMO as all it means is extra shit to carry around.

I don't want my phone to be my mp3 player.. other than that yea, I'd like to see complete integration between the two. I carry a laptop, a dslr, a point shoot, my phone, aannd my zune right now. Luckily my zune syncs wirelessly so that's one cable I can cross off of my list. The rest? .. in the backpack.
