Spawned as USMC at Airfield on Wake when round started.

Not sure what happened, but I was playing with my friends and they were all chinese, so I tried to switch to their team and it seemed to work. After the 15 second round start time I select the Airfield and I spawn there but something seemed weird when I was looking at my kit choices.

Next thing I know I'm getting shot at by the people around me so I'm like WTF and I manage to hide and my friends come over to figure out what was going on. We all shot each other a bit but there was no FF warning or anything. Even the flag started to come down at some point. They say my model looked USMCian too. Finally some sniper took me out and I was only able to spawn at Carrier now.

Anyone have this happen to them??... Imagine the possibilities had I spawned chinese at the carrier...

Strange... I have never read/seen about such a glitch before.
But if you spawned as a spec ops you could have given those Chinese bastards some big trouble

once i was on Daqing, i spawned at US airfield as a chinese. i thought i was US at first, so i took the F18, and flew to chinese airfield to engage J10 and Su30, but all i saw was teammates, i was like wtf, who am i playing for, US or PLA? i checked the scoreboard, it still said i was USMC, but actually i was on PLA. so those USMC didnt even know how their F18 got stolen at the beginning of the round.

i can get this happening, Its not worth anything to the player, mainly because you dont know whats going on.
Its a form of the red name bug.
Basicly the server says your on one team you were teamswapped back to USMC but your computer didnt geet all the info back from the server, causeing a miscommunication.

i've had this happen to me a while ago, around when the newer patch came out. i thought it had something to do with the red nametag bug or something. but i was playing on sharqi. i was USMC, but tried to switch over to the MEC and got switched back. i then was able to pick MEC spawn points, but when i was selecting my class, it was showing the USMC weapons. so i was like wtf?? i picked my spec ops class and then spawned in. since i thought i was MEC i didnt shoot any of them, even though they didnt have a teammate tag on. a minute later one shot at me, so i shot back and killed him. i didnt get a TK for that so i continued to shoot the MEC. i got 4 until i was finally killed. when i was picking my next spawn point, i had to choose from the USMC spawn points. it was pretty weird.

I have seen it done before on wake. I was the commander of usmc team and someone on my team capped the flag at the airfield before the rest of the team made it past the arty island. I thought it was a cheat so I left the server.

this happened to me at karkand. i was on US side and right as i spawned i heard the little noise to indicate that i had been switched teams, but it was too late cuz i had already spawned. i looked at all the other US guys and all their names were in red. One of the MEC guys got killed and i was able to revive him, but i never got shot by US cuz i guess i was wearing US fatigue. it was pretty cool, but then i got killed by a MEC who got negative pts.

thsi has happend to me on two occaisions now before, and both players that had the glitch used it for what its worth, and owned for abit, especially seeing as they looked like there teammates and had blue above his head but was in diff uniform, no one shot at him, but when he shot at them it came up with tk's but he gained points,

odd? i think so

what other surprises does ea have waiting i wonder!

I've been trying to recreate this glitch but I have not been able to do so. I'm starting to think it had something to do with the program the server this happened on used to balance the teams etc. The best I've done so far is switch to MEC from USMC, have the tab say I'm MEC, but my kit choices are USMC. My spawn choices are also USMC, here's a screenshot.

I then spawned on one of the spots and ran around to see what happened... but the MEC killed me before I could get close to teammates. When the spawn screen came up then everything was fine, I was USMC again.
