Kind of but not really. Hamas deliberately target civilians and took over a portion of Palestine through force. When they start fighting with some honor and join forces with Fatah I'll offer them some respect.

Hamas is against the beating of woman for stupid reason and such, a.k.a the Sharia?

If yes then its a good move from them...but its far from enough to repay what they did.

Hamas to the best of my knowledge has never adopted extremist Islamic ideology. Aside from trying to blow up Israel much of what they do is what we would call humanitarian work - provide food, housing, education, healthcare etc.

Probably why they remain so popular despite being responsible for many, many, many Palestinian deaths.
