In 2003 George Bush made an appeal to Jacques Chirac for help in the Gulf War...on the grounds that he was fulfilling a plan to destroy Gods enemies.
Gog and Magog were mysterious/evil forces threatening Israel in the Old testament book of Ezekiel (chapters 38 and 39).
Chirac has confirmed that this phone call actually happened in a long interview with French journalist Jean-Claude Maurice.

Do the Republicans still have ultra religious evangelists running the show?
If so, should they be trusted to run the most powerful country in the world?

Few mainstream news services have run with this, and I was perfectly happy to consider this a hoax, but most hoaxes have a " mythbusting" counterpart somewhere on the internet. This doesnt seem to have one.Secular Humanism wrote:
