Anyhoo, chances are it was racism. But then you also gotta call that other event (the one in Akron where a bunch of blacks beat up a white family) racism.

I don't understand why it's wrong for them to not want black people there. It's their pool.

Call me whatever but I think they have a right to not allow anyone they want into their own business for whatever reason.

They do.  However, they will surely get a lot more negative publicity if they confirm that race really is the reason why they kept the kids out.

Basically, unless you live in a city that mostly approves of racism, you have to worry about losing some of your business if you become known as a racist company.

Alright so lets be serious we all know they kicked them out for racist beliefs. Fine, but I don't understand where the debate is other then "zomg racism still exist".

Well, if what Kmarion is saying is true, they already have people of various races among their members.

What makes me wonder is if any of their current members are black.

This might be a case where they are simply racist against black people but not against anyone else.  That doesn't make it anymore acceptable, but it begs the question why they feel this way.

Well, I know the deal.  I live in a city that is about 50% black in population.  Most of the crime here is committed by blacks, and my brother has only been mugged twice, but both times by black people.

So, I understand the prejudice some people have, and I can't say I'm completely devoid of it either, but....   if you prohibit black people from using your facilities, you start one hell of a shitstorm usually.  It really is better to judge people as individuals.
