I blow mine out with an air compressor, then spray some Windex (window cleaner) on a rag and wipe it. Then blow it off with the compressor again. If I need liquid below the keys I spray Windex or water out of a spray bottle then blow it off with the compressor right away. Never had a problem plugging it in immediately after cleaning and using it.
