As long as you give it a very long time to dry, there's no problem. Water on electronics doesn't really mean shit as long as there's no current running through it.

At first glance, when you see this thread it seems absolutely retarded, but when you think about it, it still seems retarded.

Does it get the shit out from between the keys though? That's my problem. When I wash my keyboard I either do a half assed job and just wipe it down with some detergent, or pop all the keys off and wipe it out.

That's absurd.

So absurd that it just might work!

Surprisingly it did remove everything, I had so much dirt behind and around they keys that I kinda doubted it will get removed but i removed the most used keys and could not find any tracks of garbage anywhere. The keyboard looks brand new and I'm not exaggerating here.

Hmm, guess I'll give it a shot in the future. Think using detergent would be a bad plan then? Keyboards are hardly hygienic, it'd be good to clean it properly. I'll wait till we find out if yours works or not. I assume you're not taking it apart to dry it?

You could use detergent, nothing aggressive though. I didn't use it because my keyboard has a rubber rest and I'm not sure how it would react to chemicals.

They get pretty damn hot, though. That may cause problems.

You do realise that if you whack a vacuum cleaner over it once a week or so and wipe it down regularly there's no need to do that...
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

Yes thats why I use vacuum cleaners once a week to clean myself. Recommended.

liq its like leaving they keyboard on the sun for 15 minutes. On low temperature there are no worries
