They kinda failed last week, I got my car and insurance for 25,500 Swedish krona, which I believe is about 2000 British pounds.
And my car is quite nice and looks good for a 17 year old (I was 17 when I got it, I'm 19 now)
I hope I can find a way to watch Top Gear live or else I'll have to wait until late tonight when I can download it because I'm from Sweden.

£2000 is fucking insane for Insurance. Depends on how rich you are actually, 2 grand seems like nothing to some.
New house is moved into, been settled for 4-5 days now, got a neat set-up . Big bedroom, huge double-bed spread, laminate flooring throughout, have like a 10 foot square space just dedicated to my electric guitar toys and peddle board, and then a nice big space for a 40" TV w/ Sony surround, and my computer / workspace in the corner. Kitchen, lounge, study room, attic-conversion, summer room/conservatory etc. are all there too. Really enjoying the summer-heatwave atmosphere with the missus in the new surroundings!

The way that UK driving insurance is going - especially for me out in rural areas like Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, where the roads are particularly hazardous - is forcing every young and first-time driver to take joint-cover on their parent's account.
