Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That’s the lowest level of total approval yet recorded. The President’s ratings first fell below 50% just a few weeks ago on July 25. Fifty-two percent (52%) now disapprove.

So 47% of people inclined to vote Republican still like him?

That's pretty good.

Wow look at that 5% swing in a week. At this rate he'll be at zero in 8 weeks.

The above is not broken down by party.  I suspect if you did though that Democrats are probably twice as likely to have a higher approval rating than a Republican.

I don't think Obama's approval rating will go much further down.  Probably at worst to 42% unless he really screws the pooch - this may happen earlier next year when he does immigration amnesty.

Actually heard some interesting data yesterday on the effect the healthcare debate is having on incumbent Dems.

Reid and Specter are both in trouble. Corzine is behind by double digits. Could be coincidence, but many key Dems' poll leads have dwindled to nothing or worse since the healthcare debate started.

I wouldn't put it pass the Democrats to send out another $600 check to everyone in the guise of a 'Stimulus' to improve their numbers...

They will be screwed if they try for a new AWB, it's political suicide...

Maybe healthcare and immigration will turn out to be the same way...
