gay people usually have good taste
"taste" is one thing. what is the appropriate uniform for a law enforcement officer is another, imo.
I'm just trying to figure out why the entire uniform is not camouflage instead of just using camouflage as an accent... Seems silly and useless.

the only thing that matters to those in charge of this stuff here today is to get the most budget money stolen spent, no matter how silly or useless the result is.

And yet you want governmental power expanded...

How often does this happen ? Once a year, week Or was it a one time demonstration The video says it common.
CBN isn't exactly a reputable source.

That being said, I decided to do a little cross-referencing.

As far as I can tell, it is true that Muslims in various countries seem to have a habit of blocking streets for massive gatherings of worship.

In America, this is technically allowed as long as they get the appropriate permits and give authorities enough time to provide the needed resources.

In France, this is problematic, because they have a lot of laws against public displays of religion.  So yeah, it does seem like they aren't being consistent and are instead appeasing Muslims in this respect -- despite taking the exact opposite tact with the ban on the burqa.

I don't know what the laws in Russia are.

heh...  I noticed.  Some of them don't work here either (mostly with regard to the War on Drugs and immigration laws).

Russia will be a majority Muslim country soon enough, right?

OP: I agree with France's ban on the burqa.  The burqa is a symbol of servitude to Muslim men.  This is also a referendum against the Isomafication of the French Culture.

why should anyone listen to somebody who has partaken in so much personal excess that that person has allowed their very own body to reach a state of morbid obesity, seriously shortening their lifespan and adding to their own sense of social ineptitude?  why would that person's opinion not be laughed away?

no, i don't think so. russia's still mostly orthodox christian and that church is, no matter what our talking heads say, de-facto supported by the state. as much as i hate religion, i must admit that, atm, the only thing that can stand against islam here is another religion - christianity being the only reasonable choice. unfortunately, even though it's probably the lesser of two evils, orthodox christianity is just about as fucked up as islam, only less agressive.

Fixed...  Although, in practice, it basically is just sexism.

The burqa was around before Islam, but it was incorporated into the religion as a symbol of piety.  Thankfully, many Muslims have moved away from this, but unfortunately, it's going to take some time to completely end the practice.

Well, honestly, that's kind of the situation here.

We have a secular government, but the prominence of Christianity among the general populace is what keeps certain Islamic influences in check.

Personally, I'd prefer a situation where both religions would subside in influence, but as you said, Christianity is a less aggressive choice (in most cases).
