I guess they need to be as much like CoD as possible to give it a run for its money. A competition to see who can be the most mediocre.

k, when i played the alpha it looked like an improved Bad Company 2. 3d spotting, same gun sounds, similar squad system, rush mode, no commander and like i said earlier it's on the Frostbite engine just like BC2.aerodynamic wrote:

It looks and plays just like Bad Company 2. It's on virtually the same engine. I'm not saying that's a bad thing though, it just doesn't feel like a true successor to what Battlefield 2 was.
I actually can't play bc2 anymore because well, its pure shit compared to bf3
2. The sounds are actually different.
3. Squad system is different in the fact that you can only spawn on the squad leader and not anyone at random
4. Big whoop on commander. Maybe they will put it back in yet who knows.
5. FB2 has it's differences from FB1. It's a good engine. There's some gorgeous scenery in all the BF games that utilize it.
Did you even play the alpha?
the frostbite engine fucking owns so it can't really be seen as a bad thing bf3 is using it

Yes I did play the alpha, and i'm just saying it feels like an improved Bad Company 2. Not saying that's a bad thing though, just doesn't feel like a true sequel to what Battlefield 2 was.NeXuS wrote:

As a gaming community that so loved BF2 I don't think we can ever love another game AS much as BF2. Tbh I think that's what we want. Another BF2, but it won't happen. It's kinda like me when i hear my kids music in 10 years. I'm gonna fucking hate it cause it isn't what I grew up with.Roc18 wrote:

If they made a bf2.5, basically a graphically improved bf2 people would have bitched anyways, i mean fucking hell, bf2 was no way near perfect.
What do people/bf2 players want from bf3?

If I had a Battlefield 2 with improved graphics, 10-20 new maps and all of the new stuff bc2 introduced like rush mode, I would be satisfied with that personally. I'm not sayin BF3 is bad, i'm just saying they should've called it Bad Company 3 lol.
But the game has nothing to do with bc.
I mean, DICE/EA are not that retarded to ruin a franchise like battlefield, and lose the core bf players.

I think its a little ridiculous to make these bfbc comments when all we played was the alpha version of a rush map with one vehicle. Did it have some BC influence, DUH. Is it a BC game, no.
Yeah, that's why i can't wait to play the beta.
I just hope its not metro again.

I know, that's why I'm expecting BF3 to be a great game. I'm just stating my opinion.aerodynamic wrote:

Caspian border ftw. Don't alpha players have the right away for when the beta comes out? Don't we get it first?aerodynamic wrote:

And why the heck wouldn't you want loud cool mechanical sounding guns?

If you had fired these guns, you would know that you get a ringing in your ears. Constant fire will cause you hearing damage. Hence the reason you wear ear muffs at the gun range.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Do you really want to deafen gamers who are wearing headsets with the volume turned up in the hope of hearing enemy footsteps, for the sake of realism?
