That is incredible! The landscape looks so beautiful and thick with vegetation. I can't wait to see what that'll look like with 64 players. I think that video will also show anybody thinking the map is small that it is in fact huge.
Hey imma gonna get in the choppa and switch to 3rd person view and then crash land...
WTF why didn't he fly it around a bit to give us an idea of the handling/map size fucking noob.
Although I must admit this does look reasonably promising.
Seems like you haven't been at Gamescom, inside of the Battlefield 3 stand? The footage you see is from a random player inside the room. The recordings were made by a guy with an iPhone probably, on the big screen you saw before entering the room yourself... Be happy he managed to get some footage out there lol.
I have been waiting 4.5h in a queue to play 15 minutes of Battlefield 3... The room size supports 64 players, so the footage you see from a random person is together with 64 players.
When I was playing myself, I felt like the map was just way too big... I only saw a couple (about 3 infantry, and 4 vehicules) of enemies, while capping many bases. This may be due to the fact that every one was new to the game/map and therefore didn't really know what to do and where to go... Neither did I sometimes.
Anyway, some things I thought about my gameplay expierince was that the movement was kinda weird, which may be due to the fact that we couldn't make our own key settings... But the sprinting was akward sometimes and also they had the aiming-down-sight on toggle, which I ain't used to at all. I usually keep walking while shooting, but now I couldn't because I weren't used to it
Another thing that was not that impressing was that you could choose to use the mouse wheel to switch weapons or keybinds (1-6 or smth). At first I tried using the mouse wheel... It was just horrible since there are about 6 weapons you can switch to and you never find the right weapon/tool to go with. Like for example there were two tanks fighting eachother, while I was engineer. I tried to pull out my repair tool to support my tank. I had to be too quick and couldn't find it on time, so my tank died. Then I tried to pull out my bazooka, but I failed because I scrolled twice over it. Then I decided to use the hotkeys, which helped some
For the vehicle part, I have been in a tank and a car. The tank was really pleasant to drive with, until I got into a tank-to-tank battle. The movement of the aim was not fast enough in my opinion, but such things can be fixed with own preferences.
The car was also very nice to drive with, got good handling for sure! One thing that is not as cool, was that when you get into water, which I claim to be able to drive through (a tiny river), you get thrown out instantly, without getting the choice. (The car even makes the other way of the river)
Anyway, it was worth waiting in my opinion, and I'm definatly going to buy the game... it's gonna be epic!
