So I really applaud Battlefield 3 for having that BF2/BF2142 system.

I know people enjoy having balanced factions, but I like variety. It's a lot of fun to use underdog equipment and come out on top using your wits and skills. A perfect example is the whole M16 vs AK rut video games are stuck in. It's fantastic because on one end you get to play with a hard hitting, fully automatic, old fashion weapon, and on the other hand you have a lower damage, extremely accurate, semi-automatic/burst weapon.

I like that whole different faction strength and weaknesses thing too - asymmetric balance. Like in BF1942; the Zero was fast and agile but weak while the Corsair was less agile but made up for this in additional strength. Likewise the Spitfire had a tighter turning circle while the Messerschmidt was better at altitude and diving. Good times.

yeah maybe if blizzard were in charge of balancing it. with DICE at the helm they're not going to give a single shit about the inevitable bullshit that  asymmetric balance causes, once people start to figure the game out.

also asymmetric balance is not X wins in situation 1, Y wins in situation 2. That's called bad game design.

Well it was a required "stupid" in order to get to the bountiful rapefest at the tv station. The MEC chopper wasn't as adept as the USMC one at air to air...

I always wished TV missiles weren't used on other helicopters. I was never good at hitting other helicopters with them because of the hitboxes laggins so far behind. I enjoyed rocket fights a lot though.

Wish the helicopter machine guns had zoom.
