I think they'll do with it whst they did with BF2. Awesome PC game, shitty console port.
They know their focus with a game like BF3. PC gamers. Console gamers have BC2 which isn't too shabby, but BF3 should be, as indicated by how BF2 was created, made for PC gamers.

You had a heli and if you killed a certain amount of enmies you'd get a lame powerup and your missle rate of fire would like quadruple.

That is fine, as long as the PC version and console version are a world apart.
Iv come to the conclusion that no matter what they make BF3 like, how good the graphics are, destructible environments or not, it will never be as good as BF2 in my eyes. That's just not been negative, i just think all the crap that has gone on with Dice, Treyach, IW and of course the console scene appearing, over the years since its release has changed PC gaming. I don't think il get that love back enough to spend 1500 hours on a game again.
BF Play4Free to have Battlefield 3 integrations A new video with an interview with Battlefield Play4Free developer James Salt has been found. One interesting note is at the end (3:51), Salt says there will be some integrations between Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield 3.
Also, a full BF Play4Free FAQ is posted on the Battlefield Heroes site. The FAQ also mentions Battlefield 3 connections.

Battlefield 3 Reveal at the Video Game Awards? Rumors are flying as the guys at E4G are speculating that the mystery game to be revealed at this year's Spike TV Video Game Awards could be Battlefield 3. The "Mystery World Premiere Teaser" shows an intro that looks vaguely similar to previous Battlefield trailers and intros.
Below are some screencaps and Youtube links to the Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 intros and trailers showing the similar Earth shots in the beginning. Slap on the classic Battlefield theme with the "initiating satellite scan" and it looks very convincing. The Spike TV Video Game Awards air Saturday December 11 @ 8pm ET/5PM PT.
Keep in mind this is speculation and by no means any confirmation, so don't get your hopes up yet. Some people have argued this might be Mass Effect 3 as well.

That's why there's a section on this site to make recommendations so that admins and mods can take those recommendations under advisement. The only commonality might be "Battlefield Genre Developments" or something similar.
