BF2S Forums Terminator: Salvation, and a rant about modern film-making.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, actually. The script they had for Kyle Reese was really fucking cheesy, though. That I could certainly have done without. The guy was like a fucking parrot through much of the movie, just repeating what others said and trying to sound cool and just sounding like a dumbass (even given that that's what the film makers wanted, it just made me cringe).

It was certainly better than T3, though. I hated that movie. But this did a good job of redeeming itself.

Go see the movie, you'll enjoy it. But if you are worried about wasting your money, go see it during the matinee when the tickets are cheaper.

I don't see the bad in things until people point them out to me, though.

My friends were moaning because there was (and apparently always is) and over-usage of slow motion at stupid times, and also they seemed to hate the fact that Christian(?) Bale was hardly ever shown, even though everyone hates him (I don't quite get this last one).

The bit with the chair in the screen thing, and they said Batman did it, too, with the whole "Lack of Bale" thing.

I dunno, this is why I don't read reviews. It seems like too many go to watch a film just to pick out bad things.

I actually like that I don't see these things. Maybe I'm an idiot in that area because of it, but I sure as hell enjoy the films more than those who aren't.

Since there was no single Terminator threathing Connor or the rest of humanity should Arnie have been yet once again roboting around. It just wouldn't have worked in that plot with him coming again to save the world. Imho it was a good thing he wasn't in the movie. More surprising elements available. It was a ok-good action movie.

And I disagree, Arny is the Terminator, Terminator w/o Arny is like Rocky w/o Stallone to me

Well, Arny is a Terminator, the most famous and most recognised. But he's not the only one. Besides he is in the movie, sorta, and for a shorta.
