More or less ... what used to be British Mandate of Palestine is today currently Israel and Jordan ... Palestine was lost somewhere in 1947 ...usmarine wrote:

The suggestion was in 1947 that todays Isreal should have been two nations with Jerusalem as a UN "enclave" of some sort with equal rights for both Palestinians and Israelis ...usmarine wrote:

It's a little more complicated than Britain simply handing over power to Jews and letting them take over the whole Palestine region, infact there was a point when the Jews were committing terrorist attacks similar to Hamas against Britain and the Arabs etc.. when they were fighting for the creation of Israel, not saying that the Arabs weren't doing something similar either.
People like to think there's a big difference between the Jews and Arabs but in all aspects there isn't really

They can't get along seeing as the UN thought it was a good idea for them to live alongside eachother in one country ... besides this was not a call by the brits but rather the league of nations ...usmarine wrote:

Frankly I don't see why people are so against the notion of a Palestinian state yet can be so pro for the idea of an Israeli state, and vice versa. It doesn't make sense, I can't see why there can't be both. But some of the more bigger retards for their own stupid reasons (usually racial and religious reasons) would rather have one or the other
meh the brits were the big dogs in that one.Varegg wrote:

Kinda like how United States of Iraq & Afghanistan works today is a similar situation ... those regions needs to be divided into more countries to work properly imo ...
