What if their defenseless?

We can't speculate whether they'll be strong, weak, pretty, ugly, weird, gross, etc...

They could look just like us, or they could be dog like weird things with 4 legs.

The thing is, we can't even imagine because the rules on their planet for physics and everything else could be completely different.

Very unlikely that fundamental physics would change on another planet. If anything, they might be varied by technology but that's only science fiction talking.
