Your missing my point. If China town is full of Chineses living there, then it is safe to assume the local school is mostly made up of Chinese and is not as diverse as you are making it out ot be.FatherTed wrote:

Even if they go to a local school, all the Asians will stick together. Trust me, I know Asians. Most of them have a strong group mentality, especially Koreans lolz. They think the darkies and whities will try to fuck them over.lowing wrote:

Ok, but ignoring whatever technicality you're using to avoid answering the question, can you just answer it?lowing wrote:

I know they will stick together, and so does every other group. they point being I can not say I want to stick with the people I mostly idenify with because this makes me a racist/bigot or closed minded and predjudice. They are not intersested in diversity anymore than anyone else, but only one group gets labeled for it.Cybargs wrote:

I did. you are using a pretty big word "IF" there are areas with...........The fact is there are NO such areas. I am simply exploring the reasons why. and I think the answer is because no one wants true diversity, they want what they can identify with and they want more of it, to do this everyone else has to give something up. If you are not willing to do this you are a racist.ghettoperson wrote:

In short I am being called a racist because I have the nerve to call out every other race and culture for doing EXACTLY the same thing and acting EXACTLY the same way as any white community.

Since clearly you don't appear to understand what I'm asking you, I'll try be more blunt about it without any examples to get caught up on.lowing wrote:

What in your opinion is diversity?
you can call it whatever you want. It does not negate the fact of the matter.AussieReaper wrote:

Trust me bro, Asians are way more racist than whites. If you think white people are bad enough... You should see the Asian equivillant of a redneck.AussieReaper wrote:

Yeah I'm sure these guys hanging out within their own cultural circles is really just a form of racism against us whites...lowing wrote:

No, not really. It's a small area near the CBD, with a large proportion of Chinese restaurants and businesses (in Sydney at least). There are no schools, there are few residential areas and the entertainment centre.lowing wrote:
I see so no Chinese actually live in Chinatown?AussieReaper wrote:
Hmm, think of it more like a farmers market. But with restaurants and clothing stores replacing apple stalls. You don't see a school district or the local Chinese university if you know what I mean...lowing wrote:

It is human nature to stick with your brothers, family group, extended family, your community.
Going to the point of actively avoiding other cultures is racist however.

Sigh. It is not an entire community. It is as has been explained by both me and now drunkface, a set of businesses. There is no Chinese only school there, for example...lowing wrote:

Well guess what, your Chinatown may be just a tourist attraction but in America it is its own community, just like all the other mini nations that make up NYC.AussieReaper wrote:

Do they have border searches when crossing from one street to the next?

Well the US is a nation seemingly without borders, does this mean we are not a nation? Ya know the point I am makingAussieReaper wrote:

Exactly. All because a subgroup of people enjoy being somewhere doesn't make it exclusive. Noone is being excluded. You are free to go and do whatever you want. What do you want? For everyone everywhere to love and welcome you?AussieReaper wrote:

How can you equate a predominantly black neighbourhood for example, to that of a minination? There is nothing stopping you from moving there, making friends, socially interacting like anyone else living there.

another missed point oh wellAries_37 wrote:
