I am on a vacation to canada right now. We are staying at severn lodge, about 30 minutes from midland, ontario. We are both 17, what would be the best way to go about getting alcohol?

Depending on how far you are from Québec, you might be able to get some from a conerstore there. The legal drinking age there is 18 so if you look mature enough, you might be able to pull it off.

Your only choices really are LCBO or Beer Store and both ID heavily. Your best bet is what ghetto said, try asking someone, preferably a young guy since he'd be most likely to help you out... for a fee

Well this works where I live.
Walk into smoking section (outside on veranda or whatever) of pub/hotel etc. Ask one of the slightly more intoxicated (but not drunk) people to buy you booze (alot of pubs here have drive through bottle shops so they walk through here). they come out and give u the booze usually they don't even want a tip lol
