NAACP branch plans war against NASCAR

The Miami-Dade branch of the NAACP has set its sights on NASCAR, Homestead’s major national attraction, in its fight against the Confederate Flag.

The civil rights organization will first reach out to officials with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, seeking to enlist their help in efforts to ban the controversial symbol from city-sponsored events.

If that does not work, however, NAACP officials say they will consider a boycott and protest march at the NASCAR events slated for Nov. 20-22 at the Homestead-Miami Motor Speedway

Who the hell even considers joining the NAACP anymore? Never met anyone from the NAACP ever.

Ok, now that I actually read the post.

Protesting NASCAR is just going to make things worse between whites and blacks. Do they not realize that? It's taken so long to get people to get along (especially in areas where NASCAR is huge) and these couple days of protest are going to set back years of progress. I think they're doing it, knowing this will happen, so that they'll have more to complain and whine about.
