If you're talking about what I think you are, then that only matters when nothing is being played but it's still "on". And you're the only person that listens to nothing in such a way, so you're the only one that cares
There are quiet parts in music, you know. And 65dB SNR is so bad that it can be heard even when music is being played.
If I remember well its called white noise.
what about shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I would have to look if for good quality the value has to be low or high. (I'm not sure anymore)
That's one thing you have to look for when buying audio stuff.
Like distortion, dampening (or damping) factor for bass control (Amplifiers related), hum noise, sensitivity and a bunch of other stuff.
So when you think the specs looks ok, go listen. Music / sounds are like food, nobody likes the same thing.
Most people today don't take the proper steps to buy something. Its now so easy to press a button and get it delivered to your door.
How do you chose a car? You go try it. Another reason why I don't buy from the web.
It's not in front of me, is it sturdy, is it cheaply made and / or else I may return the product after?
If I get better pricing from the web then I go in a store, look for the product and then buy it from the web if I still like it.
Sennheiser headphones are on the market since I don't remember. Although the signal-to-noise ratio is poor (From Freezer comment) the musicality should be okay. Like most other things, you get what you pay for, usually.
