For a quick history on this issue, this video originally came from the Gruen Transfer, an Australian TV show aimed at discussing and breaking down the advertisements that we see every day. A regular segment on the show is ' The Pitch', where two well known advertising agencies must make a short video segment advertising something we would normally never see. Some past examples have been, create an ad convincing us to go to war with New Zealand, or something outrageous like that.

On this particular episode, The Pitch of the week was to advertise Fat Pride. Whilst one the agencies took a humorous approach to it, the other took a very serious, harsh approach. It was so serious that the ABC, the station which airs the show, chose not to run it as it was too offensive. They did decide to host it on a seperate website, in order to watch it and discuss it. I think the most effective criticism of the ad was the one that pointed out how people might get turned off by its lead-in jokes and not even follow it to conclusion to get the point. Other than that, I think it was a good ad.

That's a stupid idea. What we need is help (mainly in schools) for the fat kids to start eating properly and exersising.
And it needs to be so that it can be done personally if needed since many have self esteem problems which can make it hard to change habbits.
The last thing they need is to be told they won't be tolerated and get separated from the others.
