Screw that.  What do you think that Liberty/Air Force 1 photo op was to be used as (How'd that go by the way)?   He's all ready started.  Too bad no one else has.

Oh, but he had nothing to do with it.... Toss another aide under the bus.  BS, this guy is a micro manager.  He pays attention to the likes of Rush.  He's a narcissist.   He knew about it.

If PBO brings in national healthcare he'll get re-elected... easily. In fact, he really does have a one issue presidency in my mind and that's national health care because it will have longest lasting most positive impact in everyones lives and the first president that royally screws over big health insurance companies will probably have libraries, aircraft carriers, memorials and babies named after him.

But if he fails to deliver in his first term then it means he is full of it and I'll pull the ticket the other way.

What are you drunk?  Do you know how much taxes you will be paying?  Hello 60%.  Do you know what that will lead to?

The government can't afford it.  This leads to rationing.  ie - Mum isn't going to get her medicine because the government has deemed that the medicine/treatment costs too much to be efficient spending per saved life.

Forget y'all anyways, I'm going overseas for all my shit.

That would never happen. Obama can talk, but he doesn't do shit. Hell the only dem who really wants to impliment national healthcare is sold out anyway. O put gave her "missions" outside the country so she'll busy enough not to try to lobby for national healthcare.

For all you Americans, nationalizing healthcare would actually be cheaper then paying it privately. Cutting corruption from health insurances. Yeh, like socializing healthcare is the worst thing in the world  Hell, my mom makes around 30k usd (way higher then the average taiwanese) and pays only 20% taxes and everybody gets public healthcare. The only reason that it'll expensive BECAUSE YOU FUCKERS SHOULD EAT HEALTHIER AND DROP THAT BIG MAC. Obama isn't a fucking socialist if you right wing bastards claim he is, he's the same shit as cheney, just does shit differently. Bailing out the biggest corps? That isn't socialism, that's fascism. Socialism is when you give money to the people, not the companies. Trickle down economy my ass. Rich gets richer, and the poor get poorer.

How about we wait longer than three months (not even a tenth of his term) before we see, eh?

You don't think this is away to nationalize large corporations and banking institutions.  Not a way gaining more control of the economy.  Not a way to make people and companies more dependent on an all powerful central government.

Compared to where this country was founded and what the Constitution was based on, we are far from where we should be.  The central government was never meant to have the kind of control and impact that it has now.

I love it when those from different countries try to tell us it is ok for our leaders to be going against the very things that made our country as great as it is/was.

Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't/didn't vote for him on the basis of his politics. But he's still got a lot of his term left. It's impossible to say--at this early stage--whether he will get a second term.

Too early to say, but ask me now and I say no.

As for Brown, he has no chance.  The recent 'MP's Expenses' facade has been the final nail in the coffin for this Labour government.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

At the moment i think he will get a second term, but with a much smaller majority. Of course the big question is , can the opposition present a viable alternative. I dont think they can.

It's not like the companies go don't bail us out. They requested it. They can turn down the money if they want to.

And your example is Facism... not socialism.

FDR did a lot of things that was deemed unconstitutional as well, he pretty much saved the US economy despite criticism.

Word.

In the end its just spending more money on large business'.

But it does help the local economy though.

Well, taxing the hell out of them does not help small business owners any, and they create a lot of jobs, so it is still not a good idea.

If the economy continues to recover and there isn't a major terrorist attack then yes he would be more or less guaranteed a second term. If the economy takes a total swing south and we're all in the poor house or we have a 9/11 part 2 then he would not be reelected.
