Honestly, it makes little financial sense to make any further changes after 1.5, the dedicated server revenue will not change significantly, and 1.5 will not be enough to bring people back who stopped playing.

I honestly think these polls are getting out of hand.
Why not just play a different game, because if people keep wanting things changed thats what its going to be...

patch 1.5 would have me come back if it was released when 2142 came out a few years ago... i thought about it but after that debacle of 2142, it was time to hang up the shoes.. i was hoping EA/DICE would be making BF3, something iwas hoping would come out or announced right now. ive moved on to better things, and so has othe people that i got to play BF2 with.S.Lythberg wrote:

Who needs unlocks anyhow?
No player needs any unlock, but the option to use them makes the game more fun. Who needs more than one army, kit or vehicle if that's the case? Why not just give everyone the same assault rifle? How fun would that game be?liquidat0r wrote:

No other shooter set in the modern era has the dynamics and high paced gameplay. If there were a BF3 then maybe, but there isnt so we who enjoy this game have to keep pushing for known issues to be resolved. I understand not everyone is always going to be pleased, but if the majority are happy then the game is a success that EA could look at for future projects. If it never gets resolved then the future games will have all the same problems and we will be back were we started. I still do not have BF2142 because this game was never finished in my eyes, tried Bad Company but will not buy BF:BC2 because it was a sugar coated watered down version of BF2.L.Sammy wrote:

Vote for more grenades and claymores and fewer spawn points please.
instead of EA makin 2142, Battlefield Bad Company, Bf Bad company 2 comming out soon and that Team Fortress Rip off namely BF : heros, and that vaporware 1.5 patch that has more bugs than a swamp................ they could have been making or have released BF3 by now for PC. why all this trash/ garbage from DICE? i wonder. and they know that a 1.5 patch isnt going to make the BF community any more bigger that it is right now.

Very fun. I don't think that all the weapons in BF2 should look and act the same, but I do think that all their physics should be the same, with each gun with its on specialty. There was talk of modding Karkand so both side had the AK101 at some point this year on ESL, I don't think they ever got it done though.Sammy/ wrote:

Because every one of these useless polls that Dice/EA/whoever even takes the time to consider is time not being spent on every other actual problem in BF2. Look at Karkand, half the walls can be shot through at some point (especially market on 32) and maps like Sharqi are full of glitches. I'd rather have things like this + hit reg be the focus of the next patch rather than you guys wanting more unlocks for whatever reason.
Well I guess that's the best reason. As I remember in 1.3 they made the minimum RAM 1GB instead of 512MBs. Wouldn't that be enough?Lucien wrote:

It is long too late for this, they can just add the guns ,suggested in this, for BC2.

fix the reg. and you will have yourself a successful patch in my eyes.
