yeah and a flatline barrel is a solid upgrade

weight, air efficiency, ball chop, how the paint flies (BIG ISSUE), smoothness when shooting etc.

Adding all that extra crap on a tippy just makes it look faggity tacticool and thats about it. paintball guns look the way they are for a reason.

edit: if you want something REALLY reliable and easy to maintain, get an EGO (shoots nice but has an early arc compared to Dye guns) or an Etek 3 if you're on budget.

what's a good cheap pump gun that you could recommend for plinking and shit.

Don't know much about pump guns, but the only one I shot was Azodin Kaos Pump and it shot just like a regular kaos, but with pump lelz.

A nice cheap mech marker I use is the Kaos, shoots really really straight for a mech and only 90 bucks now I think.
