If you think Obama was not born in America, you are stupid.

Plain and simple.

The real documents that prove Obama is not a natural-born citizen were brought to the moon during the Apollo missions along with the information proving LBJ and Nixon were in on the Kennedy assassination...I mean on the FAKED moon landing...I mean...shit...I can't even parody these fuckers.

What must live be like for the "birthers"? Or any conspiracy nut? To see imaginary demons around every corner.

It's that the imaginary demons see you.

Not seeing the demons at all is the scariest.
Because invisible demons are going to mess you up.

Its a dumb law that you have to be born an American citizen to be President.

I'm a naturallized citizen born in Germany. My parents are both American and my father was in the US Army. Even if I didn't have citizenship before then, I would have become a citizen with my service in the Marines.

Off topic, someone asked me if I was stationed at Bridgeport. I've been there for Mountain-Warfare Training; however, I've been Honorably Discharged from the service since 2004. Currently, I'm just a service-connected disabled Veteran...

Fixed.

There are all kinds of conspiracy nut jobs out there. We've had our share of left wing versions the past 9 years or so, as well.

Agreed.  Unfortunately, this would require a Constitutional Amendment though.

Doesn't matter if it is dumb.  It is the law.  Change the law by proper legislation/amendment and everything is fine.  Till then live by the law of the land.

Ahk, like the whole richard branson thing? Where in 1920's there was a law passed to disallow people from advertising help lines, and he was taken to court for wanting to help people? And the judge said that it was ludicrous to punish someone for such an out dated law.

Barely ANY new laws/Old laws are changed simply because it takes way too long, most rulings are defined from past cases where other judges have ruled the 'law'. There is no reason to change old laws, it takes way too long and people know what is right/wrong.

So, we can just ignore the laws if we feel they are outdated?  I like this new America.

No but I think the fact that at least 100 million citizens wanted this guy to lead their country is an indication that it shouldn't matter if the law forbids it.

I forget the term, but if there's enough of an uproar out of court over an incident it can over write the ruling of the judge.

Keep condensing everything you say to one line to demonstrate a deep meaningful, witty and deep reply - maybe one will strike me as something beatuiful and not full of bullshit.

100 million people, all of whom thought that he was born outside the US, decided the law should be ignored.  If not all of them thought he was born outside the US could you give a breakdown of how many did?  Did they really not care, or did they just not know?

My goal was not to write something beautiful.  It was to point out a deficiencies in your logic in a way you could understand, thus the short sentences.

Please reitterate what you initally said, doesn't make sense.

Do you know what the law is? I mean - do you know why it's put in place? What it's supposed to represent? Is it there to dictate what a minority of people who have nothing better to do but reject reality and insist that Barack Obama is not an American citizen, or is it there to give guidince to what the majority of people believe is wright/wrong and show a unfied view of ethics/morals?

I love the fact you think that if a law is 'dumb' it should be changed or inforced. And the fact that half of the people putting this conspiricy out think that their internet access and basic law concepts > the admin at the fucking country that governs it.

Simple point.  If the law is in place it can be enforced.  If the law is in place and is no longer applicable, drop it from the books.  If this was a simple law, it would be easier to just ignore it.  It is not a simple law, it is in the constituition and would require an amendment.  The whole idea of him being elidgible to hold the office is really not a concern for me.  I am simply stating that the idea of just ignoring the constituition because it is a convienient way to deal with it is not how I feel it should be handled.

If Obama wins a second term and we feel as country that he should serve another term should we ignore the amendment limiting him to 2 terms?

FYI I have never claimed to be an expert on the subject, just an interested observer.  Please show me where I claimed that someone was wrong in their assesment of the laws?
