Hello graphics gods

I am in need of a logo for my team, digital reality. I would do it myself but I want it to look really good, and I don't have that sort of competance with GIMP, Photoshop etc

I need it to have a D and an R, but the D being the wrong way round with the 2 letters back to front, with digital reality underneath. And some fancy effects or whatnot.

How does that look awesome? The color choice is fail. The "D" gets lost in the background and "Reality" is hardly legible. Not to mention neither the design nor font really say "Gaming Team."

Personally, I'd love the minimalist design with better execution. For it's purpose though, you need to make it a bit more abstract; a la the OP samples. Matching the color theme of the website would be good too.
