"No matter what my personal failings may have been, they do not support the pretext ... to suspend our constitution and take us back to a time we had thought long past," he said.

"This is tantamount to being re-colonised. It is a backwards step completely contrary to the whole movement of history."

I didn't even know the government could do that. It's not really a bad thing, sounds like shit really has been done wrong down there, but still, didn't know we could do that.

I think some places do need a set of good political governors just to set them right and to teach the correct methods for politics and civil infrastructure. In 10-20 years hopefully such places will have learnt how to self sufficient and politically sensible, then they should be given back to their previous occupants.
