Not if you're a veteran...

Apparently Obama dosen't feel that US soldiers are worthy of his Universal healthcare program... This guy fails.  It's just another act in an epic 4 year moronothon

If he sets up a universal healthcare system, the vets will be coverred by that as they are citizens?

Shouldn't the ministry of defence be picking up the tab for veteran healthcare anyway?

I don't think they do in the USA.

Might have to ask USM though.

I thought they were given govt. insurance that was different to private insurance, because they had served.

But in this case it looks like they vets want both state funding and private insurance available to them concurrently?

Dude, you guys bitch about Obama wanting to offer public healthcare.  Then you bitch when he wants private companies to pay for Veteran healthcare (essentially moving the financial responsibility of Veteran health to the private sector).  Seeing as taxpayers already pay for healthcare for Veterans, you people against universal healthcare should be applauding this move.  However, it is ridiculous for the government to force private health companies to front the bill for Veterans.

Oy...

Obama seems to want to have veterans pay for service-related injuries via their health plans.
i.e. Get blown up in Iraq--looks like you'll be paying some hefty co-pays!

This could bankrupt some wounded veterans, and leave their families uninsured...for something they were promised.

Military members have an insurance plan called Tri-care, which works similar to many other employer-provided plans.
