France has actually started participating quite a bit more. They have troops and equipment in Afghanistan and are (unlike some of their European brothers) actually engaging in combat.

Well to be honest, I think rammunition has some valid points. I also like his complete lack of political correctness. He has a thought, he posts it regardless as to his positions popularity. I do not agree with him generally but hey, he stands by what he thinks and he is more than welcome to his opinions, it is what this forum is about.

Now here is the thing regarding his posts about America in this thread. I read a book this past summer while over seas, it was called "FlyBoys" written by the the same author of "Flags of Our Fathers". The book "FlyBoys" was a no holds barred revelation of US history from the mid 19th century to WW2 and its relations with Japan and other Pacific nations. It basically outlines the events and action of the US and Japan that saw them turn enemies and fight in WW2. It does not paint a very flattering picture of US policy during the 80 or so years before WW2. It was an eye opener to say the least, and after reading it, Rammunition's opinions, although harsh, could be argued as legitimate.

This is not something I enjoy admitting but I gotta be true to history. It is what it is.
I read Flyboys. Phenomenal book. Had no idea Bush Sr. was part of the squadron.

The thing is though, nobody denies that the US has done bad things. I don't. The thing that sets him apart from someone like CameronPoe is that 1) He intentionally does it to get a rise out of people and 2) He completely ignores the fact that his country is not innocent either, and shifts the blame elsewhere on a near consistent basis.
1. I do not think he does it to get a rise outta anyone, I might be wrong, but his consistency leads me to think he believes what he posts. IF people get upset on this forum that is on them, not the poster.

2. I don't think he does that either, he takes a side on an argument, just like the rest of us. He will leave the arguments AGAINST his country for someone else to make, while he tries to re-enforce his argument. I do not like socialism, if there is  any good in it ( which I do not believe  ) I will leave it to a socialist to find and defend.

Again, I gotta defend Rammunation on this, not because I think he is right, I don't, but because he has an opinion different from the vast majority of us and instead of being debated, he is insulted. I believe insults do very little to counter an argument. In fact I believe insults are used when an argument can not be made.

He has no political correctness and he calls it like he sees it. His views on the US although might seem extreme, is an argument that can be fairly made. You have read "FlyBoys", you know this to be true. What more do you want from a debate other than passion, accompanying your thoughts?

Noam Chomsky's works on politics and history are also a great source of information that is damning of the USA's history if you're interested lowing. Definitely shows the other side of the story and it all comes from verifiable sources. Failed States is a good one and I'm pretty sure it will just confirm your opinions on big government even more.

No worries. I'd karma if I could. Already have though.

It's not the content of ramm's posts that drives me nuts. It's the presentation. Not all citizens of the USA can be held to blame for the mistakes of it's government, at times he comes off like that though. Still, gotta admire the integrity.

An argument could be made by him that we are supposed to have a government "Of the people, by the people for the people", and as such, we the people are responsible for our govt. and its conduct. For someone with his extreme views, it is an argument that is valid, and kinda hard to dismiss when all the bullshit is cut away.

I'm curious, who exactly does the United States belong to? The German immigrants? The French immigrants? The Irish immigrants? The Italian immigrants? The Jewish immigrants? The Indians?

I can kind of understand having grievances with immigrants who are fresh off the boat and who are trying to get everything their own way in their adopted homeland but let's face it, if you're not a native American you don't really have any right to preach about the country not belonging to anyone else because somewhere along your own historical timeline your ancestors stepped off the boat too.

He posts that he wants America to be nuked, America to fall into povery (which would probably lead the UK and the rest of the world into povery as well, ironically) and that he wants every "Americunt" (as he says it) dead. If that's trying to get a rise out of a board where it's mostly Americans, I dunno what is. Not to mention he's been banned 2-3 times already. And the difference between that analogy is that there's no hypocrisy involved. Like Harmor posted, "those in glass houses should not throw stones". When his country can become the shining spectacle of humanity and morality and can erase their horrid past, it might work. Until then, he's nothing more than a troll.

Like I said, I respect all opinions here even if I may disagree with them - but trolls are different. And that's all he is. A troll. He can't back up his points (as FEOS just reiterated), he's a hypocrite, he ignores what his own country has done and acts as if the US and the US alone is the "Great Satan" and has REPEATEDLY tried to defend Britain while at the same time blasting the US. I could go on. And by the way, Rammunition throws out insults just as much as anyone else. In fact, he's usually the first one. The first thing he responded to with my post was "go play your video games kid". First of all, he's on a video game forum. Pot calling a kettle black, anyone? Second of all, I've seen him make multiple posts in the Tech forum about making a gaming computer, so..

He's a troll, plain and simple. He's not here to post his opinion. He's here to get a rise out of people and piss people off. Luckily, I just laugh at him. It's very hard to fail at being a troll, and yet he's actually done it. Quite impressive.

All ya gotta do is, DON'T.

and as I have pointed out, he CAN back up his points about America, whether I like it or not. I just don't like censorship or intimidation in these forums. If you do not like a poster don't read him, but all of these personal attacks should stop. On the other hand, if I don't like personal attacks, I guess I can simply not read them either, so fire away.

If it were anyone else posting this I'd find it witty and humorous... unfortunately I know you're serious.

Firstly, who "owns" America in your opinion... white people? There are probably Native Americans sitting on reservations complaining about foreigners like you and your ancestors for ruining their country and way of life by replacing it with your own social systems and all of the ailments that came with that. America is a country built on immigration, it is pretty much unique in that regard (although I guess countries like Australia have some similarities), third, fourth and fifth generation immigrants turning around and complaining about immigrants ruining the country is a bit rich to be honest. The US just needs to sort out its border, clearly define and enforce the rules and regulations regarding immigration, and simply tell everyone else to be quiet.

I also like this new social "class" you've invented, you should consider a career in spin politics with snappy branding like that. If you ever tried living in a proper socialist country (not that Obama's vision for America is anything like European socialism) you would see that the "class" of people who decide to freeload and live off of benefits are anything but privileged or entitled. Would you be happy eking out an existence on meagre benefit payments? I certainly would not and neither would the majority of people.

Tea-Parties were happening in every state and at most major city. Could this be the first starting point of the states seceding? Probably not.
Speaking about Texas - Mek: News coverage on the Tea Parties, shown Texans, being strong nationalist to their "republic" state, chanted secede but that is expected from texans much like southerns who believe the South shall rise again, or Futurama, the Moon shall rise again.
