It has recently come tomy attention that many players hate medics who prefer to kill the bad guys and only revive when the corpse is near enough to bother with, rather than prancing around seeing how many bullets we can catch in our mouths(often this is unfortunately only one) and reviving team mates who are utterly useless. Of course taking over 15% of the enemies tickets by ones self is less important than reviving someone whose only skill is death.
Anyhoo, I have a proposition for all you 1337 corpses out there:

You become worthy of reviving and we'll consider reviving you.

If this sounds fair then simply prove yourself in the eyes of a medic, this medic will be proud to see such a unique individual as yourself, will probably encourage you to train others of your kind.

However, if you are a sniper, please do not expect to be revived often, the most common cause of sniper death is playing catch the bullet with another sniper, this sniper will most likely cause the medic to unintentionally catch the bullet.

So please, help us help you help us.

I was under the impression that most medics revive people because they get points for it...

I don't know any Medics who just leave corpses rotting in the sun. If they can help it, they go for the two points. Sometimes though, they cant. Either they don't get to you in time, or you were outright killed, or you're in a too dangerous position to risk the Medic's life. I don't want them to risk their lives for me if i'm in a dangerous area. That means if he does revive me, I'll be shot again straight away, and so will he. Waste of a life i reckon.

I know when I'm a medic, I don't keep tabs on everyone's names. if i see the guy who's currently coming last die and I can revive him, sure as Hell I will! Similarly, if I see the current best plauyer die and I can't get to him because of enemies swarming around, or a nasty camping tank, I'll leave him. no point of reviving him. I don't discriminate, good players, bad players - if they're critically wounded and I don't have to risk myself too much, I'm going to revive them.

I'd expect anyone to do the same.

Revive = less ticket loss. Less ticket loss directly effects a win or loss in a game. Doesn't matter if you're good, bad, awesome, or AFK. If you revive a dead guy, that's 1 extra ticket for your team.

Medics are a Godsend, except when they revive you with a guy on a stationary MG firing on you, some fucktard kept reviving me in DIRECT FIRE of the damn thing, I must've died about 4 times before the Machine Gun popped a shell into the medic's skull.

Amen to that. It is our duty as medics to do our best to treat the dying no matter how uber l33t or noob they are.

Should always revive unless unrevivable or too many hazzards near by, e.g. if the person you  are reviving has the support kit dont revive them in front of a tank, what exactly were you expecting them to do?

LOL, I was doing that to someone on Karkand the other day, I was in the M1 shooting through an alley by the Hotel, couldn't see the medic that kept reviving the guy. I just kept shooting, after about 4 or 5 times killing the same guy I felt bad for him and popped a shell killing the medic as well. Might have been you...........

THIS IS SOME FUNNY $*&#.  I accidently spawned as a sniper in karkand tonight and so I found a nice concrete block to cover part of myself and decided to stay and snipe until I got killed.  I took out 2 guys then got toasted.  I'd already picked my new kit and hit ok when a happy medic came by and revived me...  I woulda thanked him, but I didn't want to be sniper at all.  Insted of getting up and running around looking for a different kit to pick up I decided to stick it out and stay where I was.  I got 1 more kill and artillery hit me... welll it didn't do the job well enough because to my anger another medic came by and brought me back again!  I took out 1 enemy sniper when an incoming APC sees me and shoots the p*$$ out of me.  While I'm dead I looked and notcied that I had 4 kills and 0 deaths.  I'm not trying to say I usually ever dislike being saved, but I find it very funny the one time I want to stay dead I get revived 3 TIMES!
I play medic a lot so've tried both running around like a stupid rabbit trying to save everything and also being an attack medic that saves when it's easy.  I'd have to say that my kill:death ratio like the 2nd one better, but my overall kill:death ratio really shows my first MANY hours of playing like captain save-a-ho.
OP +1 for you.

I'm exacly the same IMO. If I see a corpse on my radar and I think that I can get to him in time, then hell I'll my best to try to get to him in time. It's really hard to find good, dedicated medics in BF2, because everyone is now isn't a medic for some odd reason or if they're a medic then they won't bother to revive you unless your 1ft infront of him. In SF, nobody plays medic because they don't get any special equipment (zipline or the grappling hook) and maybe Dice should consider putting some kind of special equipment to encourage players to use the medic class more often.

Ok, you've struck a nerve. I take it you don't have the first clue what it's like to really be a medic...I mean in reality. First of all, if someone were to get killed with high powered rifle fire, artillery, tank, apc, grenade, claymore, do I really need to keep going?, a simple shock with the paddles just don't do the trick. And to all you non believers, before you question my intelligence on the matter, I am a real world medic. Bitch all you want to about being a medic, or being revived by a medic. The software affords us a luxury we don't have in real life. Get over it. If you play a medic, do what you can. If you get revived or don't want to get revived for that matter, quit hitting the damn button that calls the medic to your location. Either way, I thought the objective of the game was to have the most tickets at the end of the game and win while playing like a team.

Sorry to sound all "teen movie of the eighties/early nineties" on you Alert Medic, but:

Like, duh.

I think we are all farily knowledgable that defribulators don't magicly bring people back to life full heath. Not only have they been shot in the head and revived by an electric shock, they are fully mobile. Woo, I'm going to become the best doctor in the world!

In the same way, we also know that throwing a first aid bag at someone for them to absorb through their feet won't cure a bullet or shrapnel wound. It is a game okay. People arn't bitching that real world medics don't tend to them so they die from their wounds in real life, they're bitching that it's a bit of a waste of fifteen seconds. We are talking about a game. I'd be very greatful to a medic in real life if he refused to give up on me after my head was blown off - that's dedication.

I make it a point to tell the medics that run with me! "Hey don't revive me if your going to get kill in the process!" In addition to "you revived me once great the sniper just killed me again before i could move! LEAVE ME!" I felt like a Yo- yo on round. 1. sniper kills me, 2. medic revives me go back to step 1.!!! 5 times before the artillary got me and the medic!

lol some idiots call it stats padding . But i do this all the time . Thing that sucks though is you have to be careful . I was in a tank on Karkand . I see a wounded medic , hop out , take his pack and revive him . He immediately takes my tank . I was so friggin pissed off . I asked him to hop out and he said "negative" . I jumped in the gunners seat so I could type - I said " give me my tank back !!! ". He starts hitting "negative" over and over .  So I C4'ed his ass . Then I TK'ed him till i got booted - it was so worth it because he was typing "you asshole stop killing me" . I said " that's what you get for taking my tank after I took the dangerous task of reviving you ya fucking noob " lol , gotta teach the noobs a lesson here and there .
