Storm Brewing... Border invasion?

I have been reading about the drug gangs and all the killing and violence.... The economy is struggling in the US but it's way better than Mexico/South America... What happens if hundreds if not thousands of people come to the US at once(within a few days/weeks) across the border? I am hopeful that this won't happen... but what will be the repercussions if it does? Ideas and possible outcomes or solutions to this?

Your going to see a lot of wasted tax payer money trying to prevent them when the numbers start to peak. And hundreds die attempting to cross without water, I'd hate to see the crisis it would create if there was a mass migration.

So the Mexicans move North so the Texans move North, so your solution is to move North away from the Texans also.

You would refuse refugees humanitarian aid, or just the right to cross over?

If they are deemed to be fleeing war you might have to accept them as genuine refugees. And if you do even more will start attempting the same thing. It's like the influx of Cubans when the border restrictions were dropped.

The best thing you can do is not give them a real excuse to cross, so the denial is less expensive on the tax payer and court system, etc. It might be unavoidable to some extent if the country (theirs) goes into a depression.
