Also the problem with these scientology protests is that, for lack of a nicer word, the "newfags" have infiltrated them. What started as organized, sensible protests against Scientology has become a channel for /b/tards to go around in public spewing memes at people. It's stupid.

The old 4chan would have actually brought Scientology's dark side to light, rather than bringing Rick Astley and moot to light (yes, moot was interviewed by Time and more recently the Washington Post). It seems old 4chan is making a resurgence though.

Recently there was a video of some kid abusing his pet cat. /b/ users did some investigating and found the kid's facebook, address etc. Now the kid is going to court thanks to /b/.

Stereotypes are based on what people see. EVERY SINGLE 4chan browser I have ever seen on the internet is a. some 14 year old kid who thinks 4chan is cool or something. b. a total social failure. c. a very fucked up individual.

/b/ is just one board on 4chan. Most of the boards don't have depraved individuals using them. And yes, a fair amount of people visit the site.

I'm not a /b/tard im just keen to all the shit they are perpetuating on /b/ and you are right /b/ is just one board there are some decent parts to that site like /sp/. I dont get why a vid of Tom Cruise talking about scientology getting taken down off of youtube causes all this stupidness.
