My guns never sit in the garage.  Not very secure, and the moisture is bad for them.  My guns that are not for home defense are kept secure in my gun locker.  As to why I have them.... Home defense, obviously.  And for carry, since concealed carry is legal here in Texas. Sport counts for a lot.  I am trying to train up to participate in 3 gun matches (that is rifle, pistol, and shotgun).  Also great therapy (good stress relief to shoot on the range).  I also keep my rifle ready in case civil order breaks down, whether it is from social or natural causes.  (Just look at New Orleans during Katrina).  I do not trust my or my loved ones' lives, or my property to the protection of the police in times that the police may find themselves stretched thin.  All my guns are shooters; I do not believe in guns that never leave the safe.

Oh, and zombies.  Have to be ready for the zombies.

Thanks. We all need a hobby.  Just as long as my wife doesn't see that price list!
Don't worry, we won't tell.   I would love to pick up and AR w/ tax return funds, but need to pay off some bills.

I can't totally blame the guy who called him if he lived in a more 'liberal' part of Wisconsin. I was completely unaware that Virginia allows open carry until I read about it online. Thing is, the area near DC (Northern Virginia) is very very liberal compared to the rest of Virginia and as such it is rare to see a gun about in the open. Someone may live in a place like Alexandria, VA his whole life and not know that open carry is legal. Whereas in more western Virginia, it's not considered odd to have a gun holstered on you.

Also, all that said, now I wanna move to Virginia and carry a pistol on my side at all times.
I'm about to move back to TX (from NOVA). Every building there says it is illegal to bring a firearm inside. Why? Because it is fully legal to open carry a sidearm there (think Luby's).

It's a bit of a culture shock at first, but it becomes normal. And I have no issues with it.

LOL! That is
I would like to have seen that guy try to walk anywhere with a 12ga. pump shotgun down his pants...
Seriously, derringers and Ravens?  PSHH!

imortal, why are you going to replace the blackhawk sling?  My competition team runs with those, and they seem pretty good.  (Except for my LMT with an A2 stock)
Going for a Magpul theme?

Kind of brings the question to mind though, the reason some hip people where baggy pants is to load a bunch of arsenal in them?

If you look closely at those signs you'll notice that it says it is illegal to bring in a firearm with out a license.  Open carry in one of those places is a no no, but they cannot prevent concealed carry if you have a license (unless it is a school, court house, etc.).

Wanna buy mine?  If you take a look at the new Magpul sling, you would fall in love, I think. Especially if you put it in the new Magpul mount.  As for a Magpul theme, I really like the quality of product that Magpul puts out.  The thought, the design, it is stuff that is made to be used, and able to be used.

Here, just let me try to whet your whistle.  Yes, that is Milspec Monkey doing the interview, and yes, he is a bit of a dork.  Look at Costa and the products.  Keep an eye on the B.A.D.  That will be a piece a lot of competition shooters will love.

EDIT:  The sling and mount have begun shipping.  You can order them at Magpul's website /EDIT

True. I did forget to mention that part...mental shorthand on my part, I guess.
