Yeah, you can get double kills with a sniper rifle, CoD style.
actually , you can shoot through 4 (or more) guys , saw a series of videos with some guys fooling around in the beta where one of the scenes contained a 4 in-a-row headshot kill with the m24 , I was like
I got a double marksman headshot once. It made me go

Does anyone in here have any issues with the alt weapons on vehicles?

Quite frequently i find that when i have the alt weapons perk on i can't fire the alt weapon. It's gotten to the stage where i use the armour perk exclusively

So I found out you can damage enemy tanks with the repair tool am I right? Like in BFV

Dont see how this is very useful though since engis carry rocket launchers..

It's actually very useful and if the tank isn't actually watching their health meter, very unexpected.

Valparaiso, first set. Run up as far as you can and start laying them.

Arica Harbor, second set (Town). Put them along the main road in front of A.

As I'm sure you've already figured out, these things can blow up if anyone shoots them (even infantry), and will set off a chain reaction if set near each other. So instead of laying a huge wall of them like in BF2, you gotta space these out and just make a single-file line with 5~10m in between.

thanks

something else i noticed is that AT mines dont work like they did in bf2, where all explosive devices disappear when the player dies. is there a set time for them to 'despawn', or is it literally until they get blown-up?

Now that I'm not sure on. I'm sure they go away after a while, but it's a looooooooooong fucking while.

In the two situations I mentioned, I'll start off engineer with some mines, go lay them, then switch back to rockets or a different kit entirely. It's fucking hilarious to get kills for them 5 or 10 minutes later, or when you're further down the map and at an entirely different set of stations

Oh, one more place that I've used them effectively: Conquest on... can't remember the name, it's a foresty area with a railroad track by B, a warehouse on C, and A is a huge barn. Regardless of what team you're on, you can get to the enemy's uncap pretty easily. Toss some down in front of the tank or ATVs and the dumbasses will think that someone on their own team put them there to keep the enemy from stealing them.

one of the best places for AT mines is probably also port valdez, right before the final MCOMs. granted, you have to be doing badly or fighting really hard to get to this point, but no one ever takes their sweet time to check for strange looking rocks in the road (some of the smarter tank drivers take the hill past the road, directly up to B though)

another thing about the village/town in arica harbor: if the attackers happen to push through the town to the bridge and onward, many of the tank drivers tend to forget about those landmines you laid in the middle of the road which they avoided several times over (i've gotten plenty of kills while running around defending the container yard with those mines)

Try Panama Canal. Plenty of armor and due to high building density easy to sneak behind them. Plus, for some reason almost every tank driver on that map drives into the buildings at B and C to cap the flag, makind it way too easy to drop mines right under there arse.

I've got a video of me standing next to an enemy tank at B in Panama Canal for a few minutes but fucking YouTube failed at uploading. I'll try again. That's actually a very good spot for mines. Just a few feet back from the edge of the slope, so that they can't see them as they're approaching the building, and can't see them as they go up the slope and are about to land on them.

Just started using mines, and they are pretty damn awesome.

You get a fuckload if you use the more explosives ammo perk as well.

And I'm pretty sure they do more damage if you have the increased explosive damage perk as well. Like, 1 mine will instantly blow up whatever hits it. (IIRC, 1 mine normally just damages it a bunch, but never takes it out completely... I may be wrong though).

@haffey, sorry but Don't repair that shit, just put a round or two into it. While standing a ways back of course

hm. if you place a mine with increased exp damage, does it "remember" the increased damage spec?

It is one mine to kill a tank with the perk, not sure without.

edit: Good question Spark. I remember getting a mine kill when I had changed to medic, but I might have had two mines there or the tank may have been damaged.

@ Tim: that's what I'm not sure of either, how much damage it does without.

@ Spark: well, if the mine is a 1-hit kill with the perk, and not a 1-hit kill without, then it definitely remembers. I've laid down high-powered mines and got kills from them several minutes later, including after switching to a different kit entirely, without the perk.

Do you still get a TK when your teammate blows up in your mine or have they done something about that?  In BF2 mines were nearly useless because all the blind noobs who somehow did not understand that red skull = bad.
