I think there is a lot of gluttony. The rich consume crazily, and many we consider poverty stricken in the U.S. carry cell phones and have more than one vehicle.

I am currently in Las Vegas and spent the night at the Mandalay Bay, a swanky den of inequity. I saw lots of people betting hundreds at a time. I myself started the night slowly on blackjack. By 5 A.M. this morning I too was betting at times one thousand per bet.

In an orgy of alchohol and winning I netted an unbelievable $13,000.00.

This boost will allow me to pay some bills. I had a one hundred dollar diner and was comped a haircut at a spa-salon.

This is from one of the most financial screwed people on this forum.
So basically if you mean; " is our bad really pretty good? " And are we a bunch of spoiled whiners?

The answer to both would be yes.

The US may be one of the fattest countries in the world, but obesity rates are around 30% hence the majority are not gluttonous (in terms of food anyway).

They don't appear to be spoiled either as the average American works 200 hrs a year more than the average European and employment rates are typically higher in the US too.

I've no way of working out the average arrogance of Americans so I've no idea about that one.
