No, they happen to target the rocket launchers which are so convenientely placed between schools.TheAussieReaper wrote:

That'd be the school run by the UN right? The school the IDF claimed was a launching pad for rocket attacks. The same school the UN has since said no rockets were fired out of. The very school that the IDF then claimed was in the general area they fired 3 mortars towards trying to hit Hamas militants. The school which was then hit by one mortar which unfortunately went off course.Poseidon wrote:

lol I wouldn't be surprised if there are some people who'll say that.Poseidon wrote:

I've repeatedly said that shelling the UN school was a mistake. Don't act like I don't own up to Israel's mistakes, unlike a certain someone else here (not you) who simply deflects the blame from Hamas by acting as if it's excusable because of something Israel did.

And if they did allow the media in and journalists got killed in the crossfire, Israel would still be criticized. It's a lose-lose situation, yet the one they chose saved lives. Hmm...TheAussieReaper wrote:

But preventing the media access is one of the main causes for the claim of bias to these videos. There is no independent reporting allowed at all, you might argue that this is to protect the journalist, I don't believe that however. Maybe I'm just too cynical to think it.

Anyhow, attacks either way are just symptoms of the problem.
Hamas have repeatedly said they are prepared to negotiate and potentially to recognise pre-1967 Israel - so Hamas are in line with the UN.
Israel are not prepared to even negotiate with Hamas or accept anything the UN does - except when the UN is giving them something.
Israel are the problem here, they need to start working towards some kind of peace in the short term or face oblivion in the longer term.
They say they will, in return they get their people blockaded and their leaders assassinated.SgtHeiHn wrote:

Israel steals land every day? So 40 x 365 (plus ten I think for the leap years) so 370. 14600 days of stealing land. Blimey, either Palestine and Gaza are actually immense and appear small on maps due to optical illusions, or the Israelis take like a micromillimetre a day.bogo24dk wrote:

I have never defended Hamas if you are to blind to what i am writing then there is nothing i can do . But don't portray Hamas as the big bad wolf and Israel as the little red hed. When we all know that atrocities committed by Israel makes hamas look like amateurs.

I'm also sure I read Hamas was preventing people getting to Israeli field hospitals, that includes Pals.

Ohhh so you read somewhere something. And we shall take your word for it. Right ?
Pause on the 3rd pic they show and tell me that isn't photoshopped. I dare you.
Are you really naive to tell me that you believe this video. That if hamas didn't exist the Palestinians will grow up and love the Israelis .Cybargs wrote:

If Israel wanted to exterminate the Palestinians (which they so obviously do apparently), why haven't they? International opposition to their actions hasn't stopped them before, so why don't they annhilate the Pals to steal their land?bogo24dk wrote:

Just hearing about it makes me laugh. Please don't tell me you are this naive.
Let me stayed for the record. I wish Hamas will dissaper but would that bring peace to the Palestinians. The answer is no. Israelis are always good at making up excuses. And why make peace when you can have it all.

That'd never happen, they're both too stupid for that. Hamas moreso, but still Israel alsoKEN-JENNINGS wrote:
As long as we are talking about Hamas, how about if Israel agrees to 'recognize' Hamas as a legitimate political institution if and only if Hamas ceases launching mortars out of and into civilian areas. Compromise, no?
Well, that's what the IDF say. Then they post images and videos as "proof", which are then found to be from years earlier....Poseidon wrote:

Because, you know, Hamas doesn't know exactly what's going to happen.
Does it change anything that they're from years earlier? It proves that that's what they do. Their tactics don't magically change in 2 years.Bertster7 wrote:

Doesn't look good.
It changes a lot. When the IDF claim that rockets were being fired from a school and then "back that up" with videos, you expect them to be current. Whereas UN eyewitnesses on the scene claim the contrary to be true.Poseidon wrote:

I'm not saying it WAS from years earlier...I haven't seen much proof to the contrary.Bertster7 wrote:

It's indicative of a level of dishonesty simply to back up their military ambitions.
Much like the way they claimed WP wasn't being used at all, then claimed it was only being used in unpopulated areas (lol@ unpopulated areas in Gaza - it's only about 20 miles long and 5 miles wide) - whereas all the accounts and the number of WP burn victims strongly suggest that its use in populated areas was widespread.
