I just created "a brand new flickr account"... Though, I didn't really like the idea that I had to create an Yahoo! account in order sign in, and furthermore I'm bloody sure that no such Yahoo! account as E0102.72 exist... yet I was unable to take it. Damn it.

Also getting 18-55 IS when my paycheck comes in It may only be a kit lens, but its sharp, cheap as hell and Im getting bored of my 50mm (which isnt even true 50 because of crop factor)

we bought a book, Photographing Yosemite. is it cheating? the book outlines with maps where pictures were taken, and then publishes that picture. i lived in the park for two years, and know the places he's talking about. here's the kicker, and the reason my wife won't give up the book now - he tells you how his camera was set up (f/stop, time value, ISO) and what time of day. some of the pictures are simply awesome, some you've seen before, and some are views of the Park i'd never seen before.

i have always struggled to shoot fireworks, and i thought the challenge would make a good subject.
would you be able to do "Fire"? obviously, it will stand out better at night, but i thought 'fire' would make a, ahem, subject . . .
