The main thread said keept it to the facts so lets review some, sources included:
Britain's Defence Evaluation and Research Agency did an evaluation (simulation based on the available data) comparing the Typhoon with some other modern fighters in how well they performed against an expected adversary aircraft, the Sukhoi Su-35. The results of that study show how many Su-35's would be shot down for each fighter lost.
Results:
F-22 Raptor 10.1:1
Eurofighter Typhoon 4.5:1
Dassault Rafale C 1.0:1
Sukhoi Su-35 'Flanker' 1.0:1
F-15C Eagle 0.8:1
Boeing F/A-18+ 0.4:1
F/A-18C 0.3:1
F-16C 0.3:1
or 4.5 Su-35s were shot down for every Typhoon lost and 10.1 Su-35's shot down for every F-22 lost.
It should be remembered that the F/A-22 and the Typhoon were designed for different missions, Gen. John P. Jumper (USAF) the only man to have flown both the F/A-22 and the Typhoon said "They are different kinds of airplanes to start with," .. "It's like asking us to compare a NASCAR car with a Formula 1 car. They are both exciting in different ways, but they are designed for different levels of performance."
The F/A-22 has longer range, higher speed, and much more advanced stealth systems then other aircraft of its class. The F/A-22 was designed for longer range, offensive, penetrating missions where the Typhoon was designed more for homeland defensive purposes.
