Does anyone know why BF2 won't let you add bots and unlocks for Unranked BF2 server to run on local LAN's?

About 10 guys I work with like to have Lan Party's and play BF2 all night long but it gets boring when there is only 5 other guys to shoot at and we were wondering if there is a MOD out there that allows you to add bots and unlocks?

Also do you know anyother cool LAN party games cool to play in a small group?

When I first got BF2 I was at a LAN and a mate created a single player game, I was able to join that game and one of the bots got booted, haven't tried it for a while though

So far people have told me to have your friends connect to your IP and start single player; or is it start single player and have them connect to your IP; the bots will automatically be kicked to make room... I haven't tried this since I had the same question, I wanted to do this because my friends wanted to actually see a plane that they could get into. But is this true way to connect a LAN party?

At the LAN he just started a single player game with no intention of anyone joining, but when I opened the LAN server page he was listed so I joined, even took him a few minutes to realise it was me shooting him, then I switched sides and then it became kind of like a co-op game.

I was using single player to test my modified localization file, those bots are can be as bad as real people.

One of them get's in the attack chopper and starts to take off, so i'm running to get in but my sprint runs out, I can see that the chopper is about to lift so I emote thingy

"Need a Ride"

Damn bot replies

"No way man"

Couldn't believe it, but it was funny

Just use the Dedicated Server... Then you have unlocks but no bots... If you want bots you have to make a SP game and let other people join it...
