i think it will be a flop due to you only can buy it over the internett with your card and i dont have any so why could they not just make a cd version maybe cause they dont want to use money to make them.

I read somewhere that (at least here in Germany) we will be able to buy it in a store. But there wont be a CD in the box but a code which entitles you to download BF2EF

im not getting it new pack. SF is indeed weak, ive played it for a few hours tops.

it will be very popular for one main reason.
the maps are going to join the existing maps in the rotation, so people will get sick of the game roating to a new map and not being able to play it, and it is so cheap they will buy it.

SF was a change of tac, this new expansion is essentially new maps.
$10/£6, all the same to me... they are squeezing the people that made bf2 massive. not happy enough to release it as a community pack, or as part of the next patch... they are money grabbing cretins.

I will give it a week or two and see how many of my friends and clan mates get it. Although, I might just get it to get away from all the kiddies. I hope that most of them won't be able to get mommy and daddy to lend them the card. Then I can find a nice little place to get away from all the "noob", "fa66ot", and comments like that.
Im going to get it, theres some great new features in it that i cant miss out on.
I find it hilarious that people just bitch, bitch, bitch about EA, yet they have over 200 hours played. That's not a very effective way to portray your hatred towards the big, bad monster that makes the game that sucks up every spare minute of your life. In my opinion, if you want to show EA what a bad ass you really are, STOP PLAYING, and GET OFF THIS DAMN FORUM...but like I said, that's my personal opinion. I like BF2, I like the SF expansion, and I plan on buying both booster packs, and if that is considered "floating EA's boat," then so be it.

I bet the booster pack is going to be even more buggy that SF was. I say that they delay the booster by a month just to fix all the bugs.
Im not buying it.
IF and only IF the Euro Booster pack is along the same flavor as the original BF2 maps, then it will be a successful booster pack. Given that it's Euro army vs. MEC and PLA on different maps I think it will do ok. Of course they could screw it all up with boring maps with bad base and vehicle placement but I'm hoping for the best. In truth if this was not a booster pack and instead was a Mega Patch then I think many more people would be caught up in the EURO flavor of it all and it would gain speed quickly. This would then pave the way for a true booster pack like the Armored Fury one. I think we all agree that a EURO force should already be part of BF2 and that asking to pay for it will only hinder it and probably make it much less popular than it could be.
Bad marketing on the part of EA but hopefully it's good programing on the part of DICE.

I believe that EA/Dice will force the registered server providers to do what they did when 1.2 was released... ie have dedicated servers to the new maps... Wake Island ring any bells.... Supposedly it was the "most popular map from BF1942", yet so many ppl cannot stand how unbalanced it is - Internode runs at least 3 Wake Island only servers every night... if not 4.
It will just be the same in that there will be Euro Force servers that will rotate the new maps, and will have a small dedicated following like Wake Island does. All that will happen is that some people will jump on the new maps as soon as they are released, learn all the locations, l337 tricks, and all the other shite, and it wont be worth new people joining the server, because certain clans will just try and dominate all the time.
Apologies if this doesnt make sense.. have been clubbing all night, and dull colours, and soft noises scare me at the moment - as does the texture of my mouse pad.

Besides, take a look to euroforce's soldiers' skin: they all look like forty-year-old german "rambo-like" soldiers (no offense)
