I recently re-installed this game on my new desktop to plan online with a friend, but whenever I try to log into a multi-player game, I always get the "There is a problem with your connection" error and it's incredibly laggy.
Single-player runs fine, but it's single player.
I thought I did the manual update of PB correctly (dl pbsetup.exe, run, bf2, etc etc)
Even though my school network sucks, I still get good ping on other games (it's gotten better since I've been here)
It's the Deluxe Edition BF2 (vanilla & SF). I dl'd the 1.41 patch as well.
Desktop specs:
