On and off since 4, bout 12 years.  Havent owned anything for years now since i havent stopped growing yet and shits damn expensive to buy every season.  Should be heading to sportchek in the next couple of weeks though.  Aside from that there's over a dozen quality resorts within a 3 hour drive, but with the exception of Nakiska and Panorama once each, ive been exclusive to Sunshine Village, which has unfortunately been overrun with Aussies since '02.

Go to a local ski hill and I'm sure a ski shop in your area has demo days where you get to try out different equipment. Test them out before you decide to buy. The stores that specialize in skis/board can usually give you a better price than a regular sports retail store (like Sportcheck).

I just got back from a skiing trip in Pennsylvania. I went down my first green . It was so much fun. It was my second time skiing.
Camelback Mountain.
Right near me, head to Blue Mountain next time, longer runs, generally better conditions as well in my opinion. Stay away from Bear though, lot of idiots there.

I've been skiing there, was okay, but the worst out of the places I've been
To get the best out of Engelberg, you need to leave the piste. It has some of the best off piste in Europe. That said, it's one of the few European resorts I haven't skied, so I'm only going by reputation.
hmm, I did a bit of off piste, it was okay, nothing special. Ski resorts I've been to are:

- Heavenly, Lake Tahoe, CA
- Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, CA
- Kirkwood, Lake Tahoe CA
- Whistler, Canada
- Engelberg, Switzerland
- Elmau, Austria
- Val d'Isere, France
- Alpe D'Huez, France
- La Rosiere, France

My favourite has to be heavenly (been there 3 or 4 times) The tree skiing is incredible, and the ski area is massive. Some great runs there as well. There's two canyons at the back, Motts canyon and killerbrew canyon, both double black diamonds, so a hard but fun ski.

I've been skiing since i was 9, but only for a week to 1o days a year, but I'm still quite a good technical skier. Not bad at tricks, but obviously not amazing, cos I dont wanna break something when I only have a week. Can do most grabs and basic spis, oh and grind, but thats it

If you have three cars, how difficult is it to drive to the mountain and rent equipment?

Crystal Mountain and Snoqualmie Pass are the limits of my skiing adventures.
