Read the story linked in the OP.  They (ninemsn) quote some comments.  I know, links are hardly ever read by people posting in topics, but a 2 minute read isn't too much to ask.

This is true, there were some "comments". But give me a fucking break. The story opens with "Outraged American taxpayers are demanding the former Australian prime minister book a hotel or stay at the Australian embassy." You and I both know that the intent was to portray this as some nationwide tumult.

It's certainly not a reputable source or anything. lol But go ahead and think that it's a story believable for most Aussies and is a story written by respected "journalist" if you want.
